AMINA Bank, a Switzerland-based financial institution crypto-friendly solutions, has made history by becoming the first global bank to offer custody and trading services for Ripple's newly launched USD-pegged stablecoin, RLUSD.

The bank, headquartered in Zug and regulated by Swiss financial watchdog FINMA, revealed today that its initial RLUSD services will cater to institutional clients and accredited investors seeking compliant digital asset solutions. AMINA plans to expand these services progressively in the coming months, reinforcing its mission to bridge traditional finance with crypto infrastructure.

RLUSD, issued by Ripple, maintains its peg through US Treasury collateral and operates under the supervision of New York's Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). The stablecoin has already achieved a circulating supply of $430 million, contributing to the $250 billion stablecoin market that continues to gain institutional recognition.

'By enabling secure trading of emerging digital assets within our regulated framework, we're advancing financial innovation while upholding stringent security standards,' AMINA stated. The bank operates across key financial hubs including Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi under proper regulatory oversight.

This strategic move signals growing institutional adoption of stablecoins as more jurisdictions establish legal frameworks for these digital assets, strengthening Ripple's position in the stablecoin sector.
